I am printing a P-17 for my Father and wanted to give him something to hang in his office.
I am using Cura 4.1 and I simply import the .stl file and scaled everything to 50%.
I had to make sure to check the box for print thin walls and I believe I had to adjust the flow and retraction settings.
I’d tell you what they were but I dont remember and I’ve got a pretty exotic printer anyway.
I can report that I did fly it one time. It was a little heavy compared to the full size and a little squirrelly.
I can give you a helpful hint. When trying to decide what to scale it at. Figure out what the biggest part is or the most difficult for your printer anyway, and then scale that down to the largest you can keep it and still print.
You don’t want to print half the airplane and find out 60% was too big when you have to print out 3 parts that should have been 55%.
