Why is the motor mounted on the shaft side inside the motor mount?
In my experience it it is normal to do it on the backside (cable side)

I am not really happy with the front mount motor, not only does it limit the motors that can be used but it also makes routing the wires very difficult with the possibility of damage if they touch the motor can.

So I decided to draw a motor mount that can me used with back mount motors. It clamps between the radial engine and the fuselage, will be printing it tomorrow for a test fit! I will add a few more cooling holes for the final print.

    Thanks Rudi,
I was also not happy with the current mounting arrangement regarding the wires, being so close to the spinning outer case. I will give your design a try and give you feedback

Seems a lot easier to change a 3D file rather than buy a press and potentially wreck an expensive motor in my opinion 🙂
