The recommended motors for eco and performance setups on the Cessna 152 aren’t available from HobbyKing in the United States. I’d like some advice on a motor with US availability please. Can’t wait to get this thing up in the air!

hello, I guess this one should work https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-aerodrive-sk3-3542-1250kv-brushless-outrunner-motor.html
But I guess any 35/42 1250kV with 19/25 mount will work for 3s setup19.3.17 at 00:13 #12474Matthew PoindexterParticipant
Yes, I saw that aerodrive and thought it might work. Is there a minimum shaft length I should look for or are they all pretty much the same size in each class of motor? I’m curious since the shaft needs to be pressed forward. Thanks for the help! I’m still learning the ins and outs of choosing the proper motors for fixed wing.

I’ve printed and assembled a Spitfire (from the files included with my new Prusa i3). Couldn’t be happier with the quality, both of the design and the printed results. I’m sure I’ll be building another design soon!
I’m planning on installing the Eco setup. Everything is available on the HK site except the servos (https://hobbyking.com/en_us/hxt900-micro-servo-1-6kg-0-12sec-9g.html) and the leads (https://hobbyking.com/en_us/20cm-servo-lead-jr-32awg-ultra-light-10pcs-bag.html). Any suggestions for replacements? I’m located in Canada…26.4.17 at 00:41 #14061
Hi- The recommended motor for the Spitfire (Turnigy D3530/14 1100KV Brushless Outrunner Motor) is no longer available for shipment to Canada. What would a good alternative be (Eco setup)? (I need one that will ship “Globally” from HobbyKing.)26.4.17 at 01:10 #14062
Would the Turnigy D3536/6 1250KV Brushless Outrunner Motor do for the Spitfire? And if so, will it work with the rest of the recommended Eco setup (the same battery and ESC, or does it need an upgrade)?05.5.17 at 03:36 #14717Jason FulcoParticipant
