Oh, I am itching – can’t wait to fly this thing. But have to wait for the main gear retracts – prob a few weeks yet. Aw!
Oh yes please. I suggested an A-10 in late 2016 and Stepan replied he had that in mind for next year (2017) and although that has passed I hope it is still near top of the list. I would like to reiterate the A-10 request – I love that plane.
I used 1mm steel “wire” from ebay. Just had to spend a little time straightening. Works well.
Ah, so that one shrank a little when it was annealed in boiling water, but generally it is 40cm front-back and the mounting holes are 49mm square.
Wow, beautiful! Please tell what is your setup? Also is there a video?
Repaired and ready for 2nd flight.

Ooh, a spanish question. That is testing me…
Las medidas están en el manual. 1900 mm de envergadura, 1520 mm de longitud.
Well, such as it is, here is the maiden flight video!
I must own up to a bad bad landing – a very poor turn on final stuck it into the grass. The aircraft had plenty of power but I was too chicken to use it. Just as I got it in the air there were about a dozen people that arrived at the ground.
Attached is photo of the damage. I am reprinting Fuselage #2 and #3 at least. The wires of the nose gear ripped off and the main gear struts bent, so a bit of repairs needed but nothing too bad. As long as the servos and retracts all still work that’s the main thing.
You can see in the video I had an Eachine FPV camera/transmitter in the cockpit. The FPV signal was poor – only a dipole antenna. I will replace it with a circular antenna and maybe up the signal too from 25mW to 50mW. Also I think I’ll reposition the camera to the nose – that will also help with COG a little but more importantly give a more unobstructed view.
Looking forward to flying this again!

I think what you’re after is about 1:15 into video #9. Ailerons up 14mm/down 8mm. Elevator up 6mm/down 6mm. I guessed rudder was as far slot allows and flap was around 45° in the video.
With the wings folded up it is about 65cm high. It would be more if you put the landing gear down (which I don’t have yet).25.4.18 at 23:53 in reply to: F4U Corsair – S3D crashing when slicing "Left wing 3A" part #31959
Ha! Superb – tks! Darn S3D.
Aha! I was just about to ask the same question. Tks.
