Hi, I changed from MK2S to MK3 now. After I printed some planes incl. the corsair with the MK2S perfectly I want to go on with the MK3. I startet to print parts from the corsair (Wing L 1 2 B) direktly with the gcode file. I think there are some noise from the extruder while printing. So I stopped. I think it is not quite good for the printer to do so. So I loaded the S3D settings from “artp”, but I am not sure enough I unterstand it. To print wings I have to configure two profiles, one for the first layers and one for the rest. So could someone tell me how this works in S3D with the MK3?

    Thank you
    Regards,
    Gerd

Ok, at ca. 50% it will build a bridge over the hole in the middle of the WL3B part. Both ends on the right and the left side are bent upwards, so the printing head jumps and the printer lost his position. Now I interrupt the printing and bent both sides with a hot tool down and continuing the print. Now it is all perfekt.
Normally I print the parts in a closed box around the printer to get a temperature of ca. 25 degrees. I think it was better now to print with open doors. So the filament is cooling much quicker. But this was not the complete solution as I wrote before. I have to interrupt and bent the ends down to prevent the head to jump and lost his position.
Who has printed this part without problems?

    Thank you

Yes, black is in fact in this case the worst color, but it looks so cool. I thought so, but I was not sure if other colors are so much better, I thought in the end it is not possible to go with this planes to an airfield in the summer with 30-35 degrees nevertheless what color I use.
I will finishing the black corsair, so it is a plane for cloudy days. For the next one I will use a light color.

    Thank you

Hi Coean, I bought today Simplify3D to get this problem solved. Thank you, but now you could help me to setup Simplify3D for the correct printing. I have the problem, that S3D only preview the first 4 layers. I loaded the setup from one of the gcode wing files, so I thought with this setup all is perfect. If I print so it is finished after 4 layers, as S3D told. If I change the setup under “advanced”, “Layer modification”/”Stop printing at hight” the preview shows all layers, but then it prints in a wrong thickness. The first 4 layers have to be thick, the rest thin. I don not find the correct settings for that.
    Could you help me?
    Thank you

Hi, I am printing the planes on a Prusa MK2S. The gcodes are working perfectly. I want to do some modifications on the wings but I use Slic3r as slicer and I could not load the Setting out of the gcode files because they are built with Simplify3D. Is there any chance to get the settings for the Slic3r?

    Thank you

So, I got flexible filament and printed the tyre again. Is this the wrong filament?
    Flexfill 98A Traffic black filament 500g – Diameter : 1,75 mm

Because I think without break the tyre I am not able to put it on the disk? Where is a manual to see how this is possible?

    Regards

Ok, I think I found a hint. In the userguide of an other plane I saw that I have to buy flex filament….

    So it is solved.
