have you tried looking at the files with Simplify 3D (think there is a free trial)? I had the same issues with the Edge 540 using Cura about a year ago but once I used S3D it sees everything just fine with the same files. It’s actually the only thing I use S3D for is planes. I use Slic3r PE for everything else. Sorry can’t help with this specific plane as I didn’t buy it so can’t test the files. Just thought I’d give my experience it may help. Sorry if it doesn’t.
Just finished setting up my MK3 and doing a few test prints. gonna give these a try for wing test print. Do you have any updates since this post?
Looking forward to seeing more as you print it. Are you just using the scale function in your slicer to increase each part to 150 or some other way?08.1.18 at 04:14 in reply to: Edge 540 V3 Motor recommended for performance is no longer available, #25952
Thanks for the info. I will see what I can find.07.1.18 at 13:10 in reply to: Edge 540 V3 Motor recommended for performance is no longer available, #25919
That motor appears to have 1/3 the power of the recommended one. Have you used it? Also where is that store from never heard of it? Is it also a shop from China store with crazy shipping times? If I’m gonna have to wait 2+months to receive it I might as well get the more powerful recommended one.07.1.18 at 13:02 in reply to: Edge 540 V3 Motor recommended for performance is no longer available, #25917
Last time I ordered from the global warehouse it took over two months to arrive I haven’t ordered from there since. Only if it’s in stock in the USA warehouse. Was looking for something a bit sooner.06.1.18 at 23:49 in reply to: Edge 540 V3 Motor recommended for performance is no longer available, #25892
Anyone find a 6s replacement that works? I see this thread is old.
How did this work out? I’m interested in this modification as well.
Lots of usful info. Thanks. I just finished upgrading my printer and will be starting to print this soon.
Awesome to see someone printing this and showing it off. This is going to be my winter project. Just got my printer and working my way through the learning curve. Plan to enter this into my Flying clubs scratch built contest in the spring. We have a level for kits, ARF’s and scratch built. Not sure where this will fit but its worth a go.
